I bought the very-soon-to-be-outdated Football Manager 2005 for £9.99 in Game on Sunday not having played a game in this series since Championship Manager 00/01. It is as fantastically addictive as always, as was proven last night when I started a new game and spent five hours just on messing around with my squad and playing pre-season friendlies.
I wanted to start with a lower league club and work my way to the top but even when a game is this good I don’t know if I would be able to play for a prolonged period of time. I jumped right into the hot seat at Villa Park instead with the vague hope I can turn them back into a top Premiership club.
